It was the perfect day for a birthday party...sunny, a light breeze and 80 degrees! Of course, we had to take a moment to get a family picture in before things got too hectic.
As the guests started arriving, Wendy gave the kids special firetruck "tattoos." She is our resident tattoo expert, after all. :-)
The house was buzzing with LOTS of people, from the grandparents, to Suzanne, Eric, Zoe and Stephen to Caroline, Jason and Carson, to Charlotte, Lamar and Great Grandma, to Melanie to Amelia and her family to Kathy and her family. Our neighbor J.R. even stopped by and gave Jackson an awesome remote-control firetruck. There were LOTS of presents open, so we quickly got started. Little Madeline was a big help since Jackson wasn't quite sure what to do. :-)
Jackson got a cool new firetruck and helmet (with the #7 just like his Uncle Matt) from Grandma...
And some golf clubs from cousin Caroline.
And a soft new Simba from cousin Mel-Mel.
Diva found all the chaos a bit overwhelming, so she found herself a quiet spot under a chair to relax.
