Jackson's Baptism

Sunday, January 23rd was a very special day for our family...
Surrounded by family and friends, Jackson Wendell Malhotra was baptized at Conyers First United Methodist Church by Dr. John Beyers (on the left) and Dr. Dan Brokaw (on the right in the picture below). Dan was/is the choir director for both the adult and youth choirs, so Stephanie has known & loved him for MANY years.

It was extra-special as Stephanie was baptized in the same church (with many of the same family friends in the choir loft) 27 years ago at the age of 7. Throughout the baptism, Jackson seemed entranced by Dr. Beyers' voice and he was the perfect angel.

We were blessed to be surrounded by family and friends, including all of Jackson's grandparents, Stephanie's grandma, Wendy, Matt, Suzanne, Eric, Stephen, Zoe, Melanie, Neil, Charlotte, Lamar, and our dear friends Kathy, Jason, Tyler and Ella.

After church, we hosted lunch at a local Italian restaurant for everyone who came to the baptism. Kathy & Tyler helped feed Jackson his lunch. And Jackson enjoyed trading smiles with his friend Tyler. We also shared a home-made german chocolate cake (thanks Mom!) in celebration of THREE birthdays...Kathy, Uncle Lamar and Dad!

We'll always remember and be thankful for such a wonderful day! Here's a little video (shot by cousin Melanie; thanks Mel-Mel!) of the baptism...
