Pre-Christmas in Asheville

For Christmas, we took Jackson's first road-trip and it went great! Before we knew it, we were at Aunt Wendy & Uncle Matt's place in Asheville...Stephanie, Anil, Jackson, Diva, Anna ("Grandma") and Angel. We arrived on Wednesday the 22nd so we had plenty of time to spend together.

Wednesday night, we ordered pizza and the boys enjoyed hanging out on the couch together.


On Thursday, Jackson dressed up in his "my Auntie is Awesome" outfit (wonder who would have bought that for him?!) and hung out with Mom and the boys in the morning while Wendy took me to get my hair done (I can't believe how fast it grows!). Then in the afternoon, we did a little shopping in Biltmore Village, which is one of our favorite places to shop! That night, we had Mom's super-yummy Beanie-Weenie Pie. Mmm...

Matt had to work on Friday, the 24th. We were SO excited for Jackson to visit him at Engine 7 for the 1st time. For the special occasion, Jackson wore his "Fire Department" outfit Aunt Wendy got him (of course!). The boys posed in front of Matt's truck and Jackson even got to sit in his helmet (which you can see in the video). Fun! And we even got to see Matt in action when they got a call while we were there. We were sad to not have Matt with us on Christmas Eve, but we're so proud of him and his service in the fire department! And since he worked the 24th, we got to spend Christmas Day with him, which was awesome.




After our visit to see Uncle Matt, we visited "Mama Gale's" house and enjoyed some time with her...love our Mama Gale! She takes such good care of Wendy & Matt!
