Visiting Santa & Decorating for Christmas

Every parent wonders how the visit to Santa will go. You hold your breath & hope for the best!
Well, we got really lucky this year. Santa had actually visited Jackson's school a few days earlier, and all Jackson could talk about was seeing Santa again, so when he did, he literally just walked up to him. (Good thing there were no other kids waiting!)

After his photo session, Santa had a surprise for Jackson. He reached into his big red box and pulled out a stuffed reindeer. Jackson was very excited to be handed his very own toy from Santa!

While we waited for the photos to be developed, Jackson rode up & down the escalators with Grandma (apparently very fun!). And he took a ride in the mall's helicopter.

After a short wait, our photos were done. We think they turned out great!!

What comes after your visit to Santa? Decorating, of course!!

Grandma kicked things off by giving Jackson his very 1st nativity set. Even cooler - they all stick to the refrigerator!

I had found this cardboard tree with stickers at IKEA for Jackson - it was the perfect tree for him to decorate all by himself!..Although, Mommy MIGHT have helped him with the garland. :-)

Then it was on to decorating the BIG tree! Jackson helped Daddy place the shiny star on top.

He was SO proud!!

Then we gave Jackson a pile of his ornaments that he could do with as he pleased. He loved taking them off and putting them back on every night, all the way through Christmas Day.

Our Diva decided she really liked it under the tree...and she sure did look pretty under the glow of the lights!

We could listen to Jackson's excited voice & laughter about the ornaments forever. Sweet boy...

Finally, all that decorating put Jackson in the mood to sing his very favorite Christmas carol...Jingle Bells!
