Thanksgiving is a big deal around here, so it will take TWO posts! :-) We'll start with everything not related to our trip to Monticello.
We headed to Conyers on Wednesday night so we could wake up bright & early Thursday to start the big day. On Thursday morning, Grandma made our traditional cranberry bread/muffins. Jackson LOVED them, and even after finishing his own, he kept begging Grandma for some of hers.
Soon, it was time for another family tradition...watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! Or at least the beginning of it. (Too much to do to sit & watch the whole thing!) Jackson hasn't gotten into watching the TV yet (which is fine by us), but he was quite entertained by the singing/dancing in the parade!
Soon, it was time to head to Monticello...but more on that in our "Thanksgiving: Part 2" blog, coming soon.
After a fun-filled day with the family, it was back to Grandma's house for the night. But before he could head to bed, Jackson needed a little more time in his new favorite chair...
It's so special to see him loving this rocking chair, as it was my Dad's chair as a child. It's probably around 76 years old at this point!
The next morning, Diva took time to enjoy HER favorite thing at Grandma's house...bathing in the warm sunshine at the front door.
And Jackson took time to enjoy one of HIS favorite things...making a mess. He's so good at it!
