Diwali and Halloween

Last week, we made sure to light candles and say a prayer for Diwali. Jackson tried his hardest to get to the candles...they're just so bright and pretty! :-)

We also took the moment to steal some kisses from our little man.

Then it was time to celebrate our SECOND Halloween together! This year, Jackson got to participate in his school's "parade of costumes." For some reason, he didn't feel like walking, so Ms. Josephine was sweet to carry him around...

Then, it was time for our own Halloween fun! Jackson was SO excited to get outside in his costume...

We made him slow down for just a few minutes to take a photo with us...(we call this "3 Things and a Dragon)

And one with our neighbors, Abby and Sophie. (Their dad's family is of Korean descent, so they're "Korean princesses" every year.)

Abby (the older sister) was SO sweet to Jackson and kept trying to guide him to the houses for candy. But he was way too interested in walking Diva around to be bothered with Trick-or-Treating. We could barely get the leash out of his hand!

We have to say, though, that his first attempt at walking Diva went rather well. Here's a little video of it...

We had TONS of visitors this year. There were about 8 other kids born around the same time as Jackson, so they were all trick-or-treating this year. So much fun to see them all growing up! There was even another little dragon in the crew. Check out Jackson and Benjamin together...two terrifying dragons, huh?

Between the socializing with friends and walking Diva, we did manage to visit a FEW houses. By the 3rd house, Jackson almost had the hang of it (but not quite). Here he is visiting Sergei & his son, Benjamin. Again, ALMOST got it. :-)

It was a long night, with lots of giggles and candy, but Jackson still had a little silliness left when we got inside. He loves playing with these window "clings" that his Grandma gave him. They look like pumpkins. He thought it would be fun to start sticking them on his body. Silly boy!

Another Halloween down! 1st a "Superman". Then a "dragon." We can't wait to see what our man is next year!!
