Weekend at Grandma's

Week before last, Daddy was gone for five whole days! Jackson must have sensed he was part of a "single parent home" because he suddenly became VERY clingy. So, when the weekend hit (Daddy wasn't coming back until Sunday), we packed up and headed for Grandma's house...Mommy needed a little break!

Our first night there, Jackson had a grand time banging on the cabinets and playing with the mixer bowl. It kept him entertained for more than an hour! Here's a little video I put together of his "journey to finding the mixer bowl." It was tons of fun to watch him!

The next morning, Jackson's Grandma watched him so I could get a little extra sleep. He was up early, so by the time I got out of bed, they were already all napping together on the couch. So sweet!

After everyone was up from their nap time, we headed down to Monticello to see Aunt Charlotte and Jackson's Great-Grandma. (Caroline was working, so we didn't get to see cousin Carson this time.) We sure had fun! Jackson explored every inch of his Great Grandma's living room...there was tons of new things to play with!

Jackson also had lots of fun crawling all over Great-Aunt Charlotte.

Aunt Charlotte had a fun surprise for Jackson. A swing!

Carson loves to swing, too, so they put one up in their backyard. Jackson had SO much fun on it!

A BIG thank you to my Mom for helping me out...I love that little man, but by day three of being single Mommy, I was exhausted! :-)
