Last week was our very first family vacation...we went to the Isle of Palms beach outside of Charleston. The car-ride went much better than anticipated! Anil & "Grandma" sat in the front, while I stayed in the back with Jackson and Diva. We played lots of games, took naps and stopped for awhile at a rest stop to stretch our legs and play a bit.
Jackson became fascinated with the leaves on one of the nearby trees at the rest stop...they were very interesting!!
We timed our arrival perfectly as Aunt Wendy & Uncle Matt got there at the same time as we did! We unpacked the car and some groceries and soon the Ballances (Matt's parents) were there...and our group was complete! We all (Diva included!) headed down to get our first taste of the beach.
Grandma took a stroll down the beach...
...and found her first sand dollar of the trip. Grandma LOVES seashells!
And Diva and Jackson bonded over their first trip to the ocean!
