Sunday morning was not only our first full day at the beach, it was also Mother's Day! What a very special day to spend with those I love so much. Anil, Jackson and Diva gave me a beautiful hand-made stepping stone for our yard!
And Jackson enjoyed chewing on my new bangle bracelets from Wendy & Matt. :-)
After coffee and breakfast on our fantastic covered porch, we ventured down to the beach. I learned very quickly that going to the beach with an infant and a dog is MUCH different than when I was single! Ha! The Ballances had set up a great tent for us to sit under and the whole family spread out.
Jackson very quickly discovered the sand and spent quite awhile trying to figure out exactly what it was!
To be honest, we didn't last TOO long on the beach...Jackson's just far too busy to be held to one spot! So thank goodness for our awesome porch where we could spend lots of time! Part of our plan for the week was that each family group would take one night to cook. Our night was up first & we made jambalaya for everyone. Later that night, I caught Anil eating the leftovers...he must have liked it!
To finish off the recounting of our 1st full day at the beach, a little video of Daddy trying to manage both his kids on the beach...and Jackson's first "taste" of sand!
