2011 Snow/Ice Storm

Atlanta got hit with one of the biggest snow/ice storms I've ever seen! We got 5 inches in about 3 hours here at our house. Diva was so funny as the snow fell...she LOVED it! I couldn't get her inside. She just wanted to stay outside and EAT the snow; yes, eat it! We just stood at the window at laughed as she played. Her face was covered in snow. So cute!

Of course, it wasn't the snow that was the problem. It was the ice that fell after it. A thick layer of ice coated all the streets of Atlanta and the city shut down for almost 5 days. My office was closed from Monday to Friday. Atlanta just doesn't have the equipment to deal with ice. Of course, the last time we got weather this bad, it was the mid-1990's, so it doesn't make sense for them to have lots of expensive equipment for something that hardly ever happens.

Everyone had MAJOR cabin fever by Wednesday (Diva included!), so when we were finally able to get out for a walk on Thursday, it felt like the best walk ever!
