Trip to Ottawa

The day after Christmas, we traveled to Ottawa to see the Malhotra side of the family. It was a very long trip, as we got stuck in Toronto for several hours because of an ice storm in Ottawa. We'd gotten up at 7:30am in Conyers & didn't arrive to Mom & Dad's house until 9pm that night. Luckily, Mom had a great dinner waiting for us. (Butter chicken, okra, & channas can make you easily forget a bad travel day! Yummy!!) We couldn't believe how much little Audrey has grown up!

It was a wonderful few days, filled with food, laughter, movies with Rick & Louise (Avatar!), shopping, celebrating Mom's birthday, Golden Palace (of course!) & my very 1st hockey game: Ottawa vs Montreal. We had some great seats, courtesy of Neil/ Shawn. And I got to see the future "Mr. Carrie Underwood": Mike Fisher. :-) Oh, and Ottawa won - Go Sens!

Mom sent home several great gifts for Diva, including a new toy bone. I took a video when I gave it to her; she was SO excited & loves carrying it all over the house.
