Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year...time to spend with our loved ones that we don't get to see often enough, and of course, time to eat, eat, eat!!
Back in October, Jackson helped make invites to mail to all our family members...
Before we knew it, the day to celebrate/eat had finally arrived!
As is our custom, the morning started with the viewing of the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Live from New York. Oh, how amazing it would be to see it in person one year!!
This year, it was our turn to host Thanksgiving lunch/dinner in our home. We were a little nervous that Jackson's Great Grandma wouldn't want to make the trek up here (it's a lot more exhausting when you're 93 years old!), but she was excited to come and spend time with all of us. And Jackson sure was excited to see her!

It was a beautiful day outside, so it was the perfect opportunity to play & work up an appetite before lunch. Almost everyone was together this year, except Caroline, who had to work. We had invited Jackson's best friends, Abbie & Sophie (and their parents, of course!) to lunch, so the girls came over early to get some playtime in, too.
All that playing can work up quite a thirst!
Soon, it was time for lunch. And if you know our family, you know we like to do it BIG on Thanksgiving!
Jackson had quite the plate himself...he especially enjoyed the sweet potato casserole & the macaroni and cheese.
After lunch, it was time for a special treat. We had set up Jackson's brand new bounce house! And, oh my, it sure was as hit!..With the adults as well. :-)
Too soon, it was time to say goodbye. Jackson made sure to give a big hug to one of his favorites, cousin Stephen. (Hard to believe that Stephanie still remembers being at the hospital when Stephen was BORN!!)
Here are a few videos of the fun times we had!!
Another successful Thanksgiving is behind us. How very grateful we are for every moment we get to spend with our family, especially Great Grandma!
