Journey to Hogwarts

After our trip to the beach, Mom & Dad Malhotra came down to Atlanta so Anil and I could travel to Orlando for a few days. It's one of our favorite places in the world!! We knew Jackson would be in great hands...

It's a long drive down to Orlando, so we left early in the morning, even before Jackson woke up. We made it down by early afternoon and headed straight for Cape Canaveral and NASA headquarters. If you know Anil, you know one of his biggest passions is the space program. Don't ask him what he thinks of Obama & the Congress cutting funding to the shuttle program. You can only imagine what he has to say about that. :-)

The tour around the Cape was amazing. The shuttle Endeavor was actually in space while we were there, so there was lots of activity. It's truly incredible to see the results and legacy of thousands of brilliant and brave men and women. We can only hope NASA will find its footing and be allowed to continue its work.


The next day was the day I'd been looking forward to for YEARS...I still remember the day they announced that they were going to build Hogwarts at Universal! We got to the park early and they actually let us in, so we headed straight back to "Harry Potter World."

Everything about the park is incredible. Universal hired the art designers from the movie to create the park, and it certainly shows. Every detail was looked after, from the castle (which, by the way, has an AMAZING ride inside!!)...

It was a great couple of days in Orlando and only made better by getting to spend it with my hubby.
