Beach Trip: Part 4

Tuesday was a very busy day for us on our beach trip. In the morning, Jackson had some play time on the covered porch with Aunt Wendy. (He woke up even EARLIER than normal every day, so there was lots of time to play...I guess no one told him you're supposed to sleep in when you're on vacation!)

After a little time hanging out together at the house, we all piled into two cars and headed into downtown Charleston (one of my favorite cities in the U.S.)! We all had lunch together at Sticky Fingers (another one of my faves; crazy good peach cobbler!) and then headed for the outdoor market. You can ALWAYS find something great to buy in the market! It was super-hot, so we didn't stay too long, but it was long enough for me to find some great new earrings. :-)

We made a quick stop by Wendy & Matt's favorite bar...it's a really nice little place downtown. And the best part: cold drinks. Whew; we needed it! Jackson was exhausted and took a snooze while we were there.

Later that afternoon, most of us headed down to the beach to try out the new kite I brought with us. Matt helped me get it up in the air and then everyone took turns flying it.


Mom and Wendy spent much of the week looking for sea-life. Mom found this snail that made Wendy scream like a little girl. :-)
