Hi all! We've had an exciting few weeks in the Malhotra household. Jackson is changing SO quickly! We can't WAIT until next week when we take our first family vacation to the beach. There are sure to be MANY wonderful moments captured on our trip that we'll be sharing soon! Until then, here are a few more "1sts" celebrated by our little man...
Last week, Jackson "made" his very first cookies. Now, how did he know that baked goods are his Daddy's very favorite thing?! Jackson brought two cookies home from school, but somehow Mommy only got a few bites of one and then they were mysteriously gone!
On Friday, Jackson and I were home together. It was a beautiful day outside, so we took Diva into the front yard to enjoy the weather and get some fresh air. We played for over an hour and then with almost no warning, Jackson rolled over and fell asleep. He was so peaceful that I just couldn't stand to move him. There was a slight breeze under the tree, so I covered him up and he stayed there for an hour...what a perfect resting spot!
Later that night, we decided to venture out to our favorite local Mexican restaurant for dinner. It's always PACKED with kids which is a great thing because Jackson isn't always quiet these days. When he decides to start "talking," it's never in a soft voice. And wouldn't you know it...he decided to "talk" a LOT at the restaurant! Mommy and Daddy were a little tired by the end of the trip out! But we had another "1st" at the restaurant because Jackson's finally big enough to sit in the high chair. Of course, he only stayed in it for about 5 minutes because he ALWAYS wants to be standing...another reason for Mommy and Daddy's exhaustion. But it was still lots of fun being out all together! :-)
On Saturday, we had two more big firsts. Since he fit so well in the high chair, we thought we'd let him sit in the shopping cart at Target. We're sure he's tired of always being in either his car seat or his stroller! He did really well for the first 5 minutes. Then he decided he'd much rather be "walking" around. Have I mentioned that our little man does NOT like to sit?! Mommy and Daddy are getting a little nervous about how active he's going to be once he's walking...we're not going to be able to keep up with him!
While we were out, Jackson was hungry. And for the 1st time ever, he actually grabbed and held his bottle! He got tired after a few minutes and we had to take over, but we're very excited about him learning to do this!
And finally, a video of a new noise Jackson started making on Sunday morning. Not sure where it came from, but he continued making it ALL day. It seemed to bring him a lot of joy, figuring out this new noise, which makes us happy!
