Jackson at 6 months

An entire 1/2 year has gone by!!! Oh my...it's a little scary to think that our Jackson's 1st birthday will be here before we know it. But I jump ahead...for now, our little man is full of laughter and babbling sounds. He brings so much joy to our lives every day. Jackson is now 16 pounds (still 25% as always) and 26 1/4 inches (jumped up to the 50% here!).

Some updates for the last month: Jackson's been eating a LOT more solid foods...we've made it through all the veggies and fruits (& seem to love them all!) and we've moved on to oatmeal (vs rice cereal)...it's one of his faves! His two bottom teeth are fully in and his top two are on their way. He's made us some great "artwork" at school that adorns our refrigerator (of course!). And we had our springtime visit from the McMullens (super-fun!).

When Jackson was just one month old, I remember thinking: "It's going to be so much easier to take these photos when he can sit up on his own." Um, NO! Now, I have to laugh at that thought! It's much more difficult when he wants to touch and play with EVERYTHING. Mommy was sweating by the end of our photo shoot. :-) But we had lots of fun! Here he is trying to grab the camera (one of MANY tries!)...

And it's a miracle we got his height shot against the door because he was bouncing all over the place! Daddy's arms were very tired after this shot.

Next up: Madeline's 3rd birthday party this weekend (Daddy's taking him as Mommy will be having a girls' weekend at Callaway Gardens with her best pal Kathy..woo-hoo!). And then next weekend, a road trip to Asheville to see Aunt Wendy & Uncle Matt...Awesome! Until then, here's our monthly "happy birthday" video. Love to all...
