4th of July

I forgot to post about our great 4th of July weekend! Oops! Anil hung his very 1st American flag outside our home before the big weekend. I had to take a picture to mark the occasion, of course. :-) I can't wait until the day I get to watch him become a citizen. He's so passionate about this country and all that it represents. He's inspiring to me and many others.

We spent the weekend at my Mom's. We had Friday off, so we went down Thursday after work, because we had lots to do! After many months of planning, we finally painted the old wood paneling in her living room. I still can't believe what a difference it made!! Check out the before & after photos.
After MUCH hard work, we drove down to Caroline & Jason's house for a 4th of July cookout. Hard to believe we've never seen their house. It was beautiful! Jason built most of it himself with his family's help...very impressive.

Caroline has an awesome pool, so we all spent a long time relaxing in it before eating yummy hamburgers & hot dogs that Uncle Lamar had grilled up. It was the perfect 4th of July weekend!
