I'm so far behind on posting! Oops!!!!

We had a WONDERFUL surprise birthday for Mom's 65th b-day. We think she knew there was something going on, but we don't think she knew just how many people we'd invited. :-)

Wendy, Matt, Anil & I spent Friday (while Mom was at work) getting the house cleaned up... we figured it was the least we could do since we'd invited 70 people over! Then, on Saturday, Wendy got Mom out of the house around 1pm to go to a friend's party and then for some girl time getting manicures & pedicures. I stayed home with the boys to "supervise" the party set-up. Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Lamar arrived shortly after to bring supplies & help get ready.

It was a perfect surprise, with lots of her friends from work, church, her stamping group and neighbors. Mom was especially shocked when the owner of her company, Mr. Pittman, showed up. It was great!
Wendy made an amazing scrapbook for Mom, made up of lots of family & friend photos we found...and more importantly, note cards full of sweet, good wishes from all her family & friends.

We had TWO celebrations...one with all the friends. And then the family stayed for dinner as we had BBQ delivered to the house...Shane's Rib Shack: Mom's favorite! We had another cake (thanks to Aunt Charlotte...yummy!) and of course another round of "Happy Birthday!" It couldn't have been a better day. Happy Birthday, Mom!!
